Reviews
Too long grass
Grass too long not maintained, if balls land rough, extremely hard to find.
Even tee ground glass too long cant shot with irons.
So disappointed.
Great pace of play
Being a very busy day we didn’t have to sit there and wait. It went pretty smooth on the pace of play. Great day of golf!!!
This is a new course!!!
The airport GC is not the course I played 35 years ago. In 2011 they completely renovated the course with the exception of 3 holes, I was told. All this to accomodate a change in airport ops. The course is more of a links course and the elevation changes have somewhat been removed... it is still a nice course but different. We came off 12 and didn’t know to change direction on the cart path. We were told signage was in repair. Thus playing 15 rather than 13, this was aggravating to say the least.... with the promo code for golfnow, I cannot complain about the green fee...... may be back. This course gets quite a bit of play, but the pace was good....
No information for the closure of golf course
I'm supprised to hear that the closed golf course after arriving there. Even though the schedule starts at 12 o'clock, there are no any callings or information from anywhere. So, I spent the time and disturb my schedule on this day.
I cannot understand why there are no information before the scheduled time.
Consistently good
Golf course is always good shape. Cart path only today.
Still had fun.
Great Place to get a round in
Always friendly staff. It’s a municipal course better than a lot of the privately owned open to the public courses but it doesn’t have a range for you to warm up on. They just don’t have the space for it.
Airport Course is great for beginners
It rained all yesterday evening. Even then, the course conditions were better than expected. Very little mud. Greens and fairways were plush.
The pace of play is what you would expect for a city-run public course, but don’t let that deter you. It’s a short Par 72 course at under 6000 yards from the White Tees. All Par 5s are reachable in 2. The course is very open, and favorable to those that can’t consistently hit fairways.
Overall, I will definitely play again. At less than $25 for riding 18, it can’t be beat.
Decent
Fun track...decent condition
Always cool watching the planes come in
Terrible Customer Service
Booked a tee time for one player. Paid for my round in the pro shop and was told I was good to go. Got to the number 1 tee and the starter said I was paired with a threesome and I couldn’t go off on my own. I told the starter I was not comfortable golfing with strangers due to the COVID pandemic, and he proceeded to laugh at me. I asked if I could get a refund and he said sure, and then made comment “let’s just look at the statistics” before driving off. I also witnessed him walking around inside the pro shop without a mask, which was posted on the door that they are required. I don’t care what you choose to believe, but the level of disrespect it takes to laugh in someone’s face when they tell you they’re not comfortable with risking their health is unacceptable.
