Golf bloggers take a good drop on Michelle Wie's DQ

Tuesday October 18, 2005 | 07:40:18 am 164 words, 1400 views

In keeping with the new mandatory rule that it can’t be a golf blog unless Michelle Wie’s name is mentioned at least twice, the Golf Blogger is wondering aloud whether the fix was in with Wie’s disqualification this weekend. Check behind the grassy knoll, G.B.

Media Guru may not be going down the conspiracy route, but he’s wondering if just anyone can point out rules infractions during a golf event.

“Though a member of the press may be citing a possible rules violation ‘for the integrity of the game, who is keeping that press member in check for “the integrity of sports reporting?” wrote the Guru.

Finally, I followed a Golf Sports Blog to a review of Tiger Woods new PGA Tour 2006 video game from EA Sports. It can be used to play against your buddies online, wherever they may be, and also an interesting section where you can take Tiger back in time to play the greats. Tiger vs. Bobby Jones, anyone?

Can't find a way to reply on the Chris Baldwin blog - so will do so here. there's a lot of nasty stuf directed at Michael Bamberger - but IMO he gave Wie ample time to respond to an obviuos infraction and she didn't. Some seem really ignorant of Babberger - he wrote one of the best books ever 'To The Linksland' - check it out ignoramuses! Ignorami?

Bamberger is a nasty guy. He knows he's downside in his career. So he wanted to get an attention even though he had a plenty of time to let them know. Then it won't happen like this. David, You're the ignorant...

Hey Davy, you say
"but IMO he gave Wie ample time to respond to an obviuos infraction and she didn't."
Huhh, you mean like in the post round interview after she had already signed her card? I think you should do a little more research before posting.
