Taking a look at what the rich golfers are buying over at MSN

Our friends over at MSN are running a story about the most expensive golfing items you can buy. Luckily, the Cheap Bastard has several defibrillators stashed around the house or he’d never of been able to get through it.

But anyway, as I find challenges everywhere, I decided I’d take a couple of their examples, and find something a wee bit cheaper

MSN: MaxFli BlackMAX ball ($50 a dozen). These balls will fly 250 yards and straight even if you swing and miss entirely. Ok, I just made that up. However, like the Cheap Bastard, the BlackMAX balls have a large Neodymium rubber core.

CB: MaxFli Noodle Balls ($20 a dozen, including a free Golf for Dummies DVD). The Sports Authority has this deal. They’re still MaxFli, plus you get the added fun of saying “A Noodle,” when someone asks what kind of ball you’re playing.

MSN: Louis Vuitton Damier Geante canvas golf bag ($8,400): I believe an actual caddie comes with this bag.

CB: RJ Sports SMU Stand Golf Bags ($30): I found this at GearDirect.com. This bag will hold your clubs, balls, tees, etc., exactly the same as that Louis Vuitton number.

Ok, that’s all I can take. Back to the defibrillator.
