Just writing the words “Palm Springs” gives this red-haired Cheap Bastard a mild case of heat stroke. However, there are many that love nothing better than to spend quality time in the 198-degree heat of Southern California’s Low Desert region. As the year ends, memories of Hurricane Katrina linger, but throughout the Gulf Coast region, tragedy struck citizens have been picking up the pieces. In line with that comes a golf course re-opening that both shows how Americans have fought back from the brink, as well as giving golfers a nice little deal in the interim.
