Great deals in Maine will keep your mind off Britney's new baby

So Britney Spears goes on the David Letterman show last night and tells him she’s pregnant again? Well, that’s not the whole story. Let me tell you, that kid is a Bastard.

But just as you can’t think of the foxy Mrs. Federline as having talent or class, you can’t think of New England and low prices together. Or at least so you thought.

There are a bunch of good pre-summer deals all over New England. Check out Maine, where you can play the $100 course that is Belgrade Golf Club for just $50, through May.

You can also save money on golf for a good cause, as Sugarloaf is holding its annual Tin Mountain Round Up tournament at the start of June. Players who bring three cans of food can play the course for $32 including cart, with the food being dedicated to needy families in the area.

Needy families in Maine? Who woulda thunk. This news will likely scare away our own Tim McDonald, who won’t go anywhere unless the streets are paved with gold and Rogaine. Any dengue fever in Ireland, Tim?

But for the rest of us, New England makes for some great golf, and now you can get some great deals. Now I’m off to see my baby, one more time.

Hey CB--

Portland, ME is a great area for golf, and recently for art and food, too. Here's the overview I wrote a couple of years ago.
