Getting the election results you want means finding cheap flights you need

The Cheap Bastard believes in truth, discounts and the American way. And chocolate chip cookies made with double butter. And not in that order.

But being the day America goes to vote, this Cheap Bastard is doing his part. That’s why I’ll be heading right out to vote this morning in Arizona. And then Florida. And then Texas. And in several other states near you. I do this because I see less than half of Americans eligible to vote will vote in these elections, so I just want to pick up the slack and make sure good ol’ conservative values are maintained throughout this great nation of ours.

Of course, flying around from state to state all day could cost a fortune – if you don’t travel with Air Tran. They have some killer deals on sale, including Chicago to Minneapolis for just $83 round trip. Or Orlando to Pittsburgh for just $143 round trip. Or you could go across the entire country for less than $250 round trip if going from Los Angeles to Miami is your thing.

You can find all these deals and more through Orbitz, or head to the Air Tran Web site, where you can find one-way deals for as low as $39. A lot of these deals will be over by Nov. 9, so make your move now.

Even if you aren’t planning to travel, these deals may be too good to pass up. No matter what, however, be sure to be like the Cheap Bastard and get out today to vote. And vote. And vote. And vote …

Well now, let's see. If I lived in Chicago and wanted to fly to Minneapolis for the weekend to get a game or two in, the cost would be a scant $83. Or I could leave Orlando to go to Pittsburgh to play a little golf in the middle of November. Now why didn't I think of that?
