Las Vegas is calling: Great deals on Sin City golf and more

Many years ago, great-great grandfather Grumpy Bastardski (this was before we changed the family name) was given an opportunity to invest in Las Vegas. He declined and instead invested in some type of ostrich plantation in Oregon. Needless to say, we Bastards are still flummoxed by that decision.

These days, the Cheap Bastard finds himself in Sin City almost constantly, including a few times where I just woke up in the bus depot. And why not? There are always great deals in Vegas, because they just want to get you to their tables.

Right now at Travelocity, you can find numerous deals to Vegas, with three-day weekend getaways from $213. That’s three days at the famous Four Queens, along with flight, and a gift book that will save you $70 on Vegas fun and food.

There are plenty of other deals there, including three nights at Caesar’s Palace, that comes with two spa passes for just $371.

Of course, keep in mind that if you want the best deals for golf in Sin City, check out a golf package from Vegas Golf Travel. I’m liking the looks of their deal at the Paiute Resort, where you’ll get three nights stay and three rounds of golf at the spectacular Paiute courses, starting at $499.

One last tip for those that love to speed through the desert on their way to Vegas: There are roadwork delays on I-15 that will last until the winter. So now is the time to take advantage of some great airfare deals to a town that came extremely close to being known as Las Bastardski.
