The Cheap Bastard loves Detroit. The Lions, the Tigers, the place Ford used to be, etc. It’s a badass town. Plus, if you ever talk to someone and find out they’re from Detroit, you immediately assume they are badasses. It is a town that screams badassery.

Plus, according to the Detroit Free-Press, Detroit is also a town where you can join some exclusive country clubs for a hell of a lot less these days.

Deals at clubs include a membership at Red Run Golf Club in Royal Oak for $5,000 – which was at one time $20,000.

You can find out more about the great membership drives in Detroit by clicking here. And leave a comment if you know of any country clubs in your neck of the woods that are hurting for members and lowering fees. We promise to be real polite if you’re from Detroit.

When you write "some" and then give one, no-name club that no one has heard of, it doesn't do much for me, bastardo. Now, mention Oakland Hills and I might tune in. What about Detroit CC?
