The Cheap Bastard loves watching the world’s best golfers get their collective hats handed to them at the U.S. Open. Whatever the hell that means. But El Cheapo loves to see great golfers struggle on the course. My only wish is they’d let the fans hurl rocks at the players as they putt. Try to break par with a stone upside the head, big shots. Why just yesterday, yours truly was flipping through the pages of Maxim, reading an eye-opening feature on the “Jiggliest Jigglers in Jigglytown.” It was the type of thing that made a young Bastard think: “Wow, I really should read more.” Speaking of reading, I just saw that writer Michael Balkind has a new golf/suspense novel coming out. The Cheap Bastard was wondering if we could get Michelle Wie shuttled off to jail like Paris Hilton. El Bastarderino firmly believes that if such action took place, the Internet would explode, and Fox News would have to create a whole new channel, just to focus on Wie in jail. The Cheap Bastard is a Tim Duncan fan. Not only is he a true, unquestioned great of the game, he also has shown a love for activities that require little in the way of equipment.
