Despite Bob Hope Classic easy rep, Palm Springs golf carries bite
Sunday January 15, 2006 | 18:02:43 177 words, 1925 views
The Bob Hope Chrysler Classic carries a reputation for being one of the easiest weeks on the PGA Tour. For good reason. This is the tourney, where David Duval shot his 59. The mistake comes in people assuming that a Palm Springs golf trip means nice and soft golf courses for them. Think again. The Coachella Valley can bring all the bite you want. And more. For a story on the Palm Springs’ area’s toughest courses, stay tuned to TravelGolf.com this week. Also look for stories on SilverRock - the new Arnold Palmer monster that would have been in the Bob Hope rotation this year if it wasn’t for some conditioning woes - and Indian Wells Country Club - the course dropped by the PGA Tour after 45 years that could be the best course you ever play in Palm Springs - in the coming weeks at GolfCalifornia.com. For the low down on the Bob Hope this weekend, this blog is your place. Who knows? Some of the pros or celebrities might even comment on the Great Winless Wonder Michelle Wie.

What do you mean MIGHT? You know damn well they will. Hell, On Saturday, they did a replay of Wie's Friday play. When is the last time you saw a recap of a loser during the next days TV coverage. Totally ridiculous! What a waste of good air time. We could have been watching live action of Saturday's play. I you want to put replays on, then show them on ESPN Classics.
