Badlands a great Las Vegas course for high-stakes golf bets

If you’re in Las Vegas, you’re going to gamble. Even if you’re one of those delusional folks who goes to Sin City swearing they will avoid the call of lady luck.

And since you’re going to gamble, chances are you’ll see it carry over to the golf course. Those usual friendly little bets tend to take on a new life on Vegas courses. There’s just something in the air (besides all the oxygen pumped into the casinos).

One of the best courses to get your wager on in Las Vegas is Badlands Golf Club. This course near the excellent TPC Canyons has been around since 1995, but it’s really come into its own this season and has emerged as one of my favorite Vegas courses.

Johnny Miller is the twisted mind behind Badlands and you’ll half think he’s hiding in a tower somewhere cracking jokes about your game as you navigate this course where shots go screaming into the desert. And the first cut of fairway rough is anything but a joke.

This stuff swallows up golf balls, makes punch outs trying.

Getting into a “friendly skins game” with some old buddies or just-met buddies at Badlands produces high drama and laughs.

Now, if you’re a high handicapper who wants a golf course where things are more equalized in your direction, Revere Concord is your best betting bet.

Stay tuned to the WorldGolf.com network to read about how Revere Concord purposefully sets out to give you great bounces - and succeeds.
