Rory Sabbatini threw his sister from a golf cart, now it's time to throw down vs. Tiger Woods in FedEx Cup

Rory Sabbatini is three shots back of the lead at the second FedEx Cup tournament after a morning 68 in Boston. He currently is looking up at leaders Ryan Moore, who eagled 18, and Mike Weir, who apparently just remembered he still plays golf.

Like everyone else, Sabbatini is probably paying much more attention to what Tiger Woods is doing. And Tiger is being outplayed at the moment by Phil Mickelson in that dream threesome - well, dream if you don’t include the done Vijay Singh.

This gives Sabbatini hope. For the man who once ejected his sister from a golf cart at Tucson’s Starr Pass Country Club needs to make sure Tiger is ejected from any cheesy FedEx Cup trophy ceremony. Sabbatini must do this by saving Tim Finchem’s Cup and winning it himself.

For the story behind Sabbatini sending his sister flying and why the PGA Tour is now depending on him, click here for a full Sabbatini FedEx Cup column. You can also find a good piece from WorldGolf.com’s sandbagging Brandon Tucker in WorldGolf.com columns on his idea of replacing the fourth-wheel PGA Championship with a new global major.

Chris,

You not doing a bad job in sucking up to Tiger, but you'll ne er match the bootlicking laid down by the announcing crew today on the Golf Channel.

Woods shot a round today that could at best be called mediocre, but that didn't slow the brownnosers down for a minute.

As Tiger struggled mightily all afternoon, Faldo and Tilghman et all waxed ecstaticabout Tiger's game.

On the 18th and final hole they outdid themselves. Woods put his drive in a fairway trap. On his next stroke, Tiger took out his five wood and Faldo became orgasmic. According to this awe-stricken Brit, no golfer in history would have ever tried that shot. (several others in the field had faced the same shot and had pulled it off successfully)

Tiger struck the shot and hit it right and long about 80 feet past the pin. Ordinary by any touring pro's standard, and substandard by Tiger's lofty goals.

Tilghman gushed enthusiastically that that had to be the "shot of the day." Then she breathlessy asked "can Tiger now get an eagle?"

Tiger proceeded to three-putt and score a par on the easiest hole on the course, one which had yielded a slew of birdies and several eagles.

Look guys, we all know that Woods is a superstar at all phases of the game, but when he shoots a far-less-than-stellar round, Tiger knows it and so should his fawning admirers

Remember when Vijay Singh won tournaments and we had to listen to his sexist rants? Ha, good times.

Golf Goddess,

As a matter of fact, I don't remember having to listen to any sexist rants by Vijay.

When did Vijay deliver any seist rants?

And who forced you to listen to them?

Oh my...I always wonder about folks who style themselves "goddess" or "godlike" in an online forum...they are usually nothing like that in real life! ;) PS - I'm still waiting for the cookies!
