    I'd say that the Big Island is the only one you should even consider staying on for a whole trip. NOt only is it big (hence the name), it is by far the most diverse. Kauai is WAY under-rated, opposite of Oahu, which can be avoided (uless you want to surf the North Shore or eat Japaese noodles without going to Japan).
