LA JOLLA, Calfi. (June 16, 2008) - Think Tiger Woods is the only certified master of mind games on the PGA Tour?

Think again. Here’s Rocco Mediate coming out wearing red - you know Tiger’s color - for the 18-hole U.S. Open playoff. In fact, Mediate didn’t just have on a red shirt. He was wearing almost the exact same overall-colored outfit as Tiger. Woods had a little black pullover on too in the morning like Rocco, but he took it off to play.

Say what you want what Rocco, but this guy has guts. Of course, only he’s light-hearted enough to get away with something like this. If Rory Sabattani showed up at the first tee wearing red for a playoff with Tiger, caddie/henchman Steve Williams would probably give him a putter to the kneecap. Not that Sabattini has the game to get close to a playoff with Woods these days.

Rocco made Tiger change. He forced him to lose the pullover. Hilarious.

Of course, Rocco also just bogeyed No. 1 to go down one already in what’s in danger of being the most anti-climatic playoff ever. That’s not so funny.
