Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers shows more class than Brett Favre by sticking to his Lake Tahoe celebrity golf commitment

It’s ludicrous and borderline insane to suggest that Aaron Rodgers will be a better quarterback for the Green Bay Packers this season than Brett Favre would have been. Packers management’s stubborn decision to not go back to Favre out of spite proves just how dumb many leaders in pro football are - a sport that’s managed to convince all its gambling degenerate fans that it’s a game directed by geniuses who don’t know how to dress.

Still, with that said, there’s no doubt that Aaron Rodgers showed much more class than Favre in sticking to his commitment to play in the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe. Favre and Rodgers both originally committed to play in the premier celebrity golf tournament in the country.

But as word that he wanted to return started to tickle out, Favre backed out on Lake Tahoe. While Rodgers still showed knowing that the Favre questions and many national NFL reporters would follow him there.

There’s something to be said for being a man of your word. Favre will forever be the far superior quarterback, but the 24-year-old Rodgers has already shown he’s better at sticking to his commitments.

Would Favre have created a media circus in Tahoe? Sure, but it’s nothing the area couldn’t have handled. Especially with Phil Weidinger, maybe the best PR guy in the entire business, handling things for the tournament.

Rodgers faced plenty of media focus himself and still managed to deflect most of it while playing golf. Of course, if helped that Dallas Cowboys choking dunce quarterback Tony Romo was there, making a fool of himself and trying to surp up any attention as well.

As an aside, I've heard rumors that when the late Cheap Bastard was abducted by pirates and tortured for information, he named the Green Bay Packers offensive line. And then he totally named all of us.

That's just what I hear.

Durr, I'm going to write unpopular opinions about popular football players. I am an unoriginal hack.

How do you look in the mirror every morning and not hate what you see?

Look up the word irony in the dictionary and it reads: travel golf blogger Chris Baldwin accusing someone else of lacking class.

Man I bet you do have the chipmunks, ground squirrels, and gophers active all day long on the golf course with a face like that.

You can't let the ROMO thing go can you? What a weird nut. You write about the Packers and still find a way to dis Romo who is not even plausible to this story. What a loser!

Maybe Cheap Bastard was REALLY abducted by Cowboy fans??? Their plan is to get him to give up Baldy's "real" email address so they can flood his inbox with their ridiculous invective! ;)

Wolfie, you know we hardly ever see "I2I" but golly that was a funny post!

Hey, Squirrel breath! What a loser you are. Notice Aaron Rogers finished towards the bottom?? Romo finished 3rd which is 100 times better than you will ever finish in anything in life including Journalism. Of course, you writing for a losing blog like travelgolf.com is self explanatory. Like working for McDonald's. "Wants some fries with that?"

Hey a$$hat, it is "usurp" not "surp". Fitting how there are gay.com ads at the top of the page. Did Romo decline your advances? Is that why you hate him so much?
