My family and I from New Jersey visited the Street Fair Dec. 29th We enjoy the fair very much good local venders, and the food was excellent. My kids had a blast. To bad such a thing couldn't take place in NJ weekly. (to cold) Hope to visit Palm Springs again soon.

What kind of cheap food and trinkets? Are trinkets also considered high culture in Palm Springs? What is the local character of which you speak?

If people in SoCal don't walk, do they attribute this malaise to a seasonal urge, a legal prohibition, or some other source? Give us more on the pedantically-challenged desert dwellers of the region.
