Leaving all of the personalities out of this for the moment, I wanted to focus on Michelle Wie's professional record. (Before anyone gets on his/her haunches, I acknowledge that it takes a tremendous amout of talent to reach the LPGA level......and yes, I realize that they all could destroy me on the course.) :-) Despite searching for it, I haven't come across an LPGA tournament win on her part. Despite the lack of a win, she receives an incredible amount of camera time, and general coverage (ESPN sports opinion shows, etc.) that the actual tournament winners do not receive.

I know I'm asking for the impossible here, but if you could take the "Rush Limbaugh" personality out of this dynamic, isn't it really true that she is a "triumph of marketing?" In the absence of any victories, and in the presence of vast press coverage what else can you really call it?

I do like his other writings. If he can go 'Wie-less' for a while, I think his output would be more readable, and he'd regain some respect from his peers and readers.

His griping about her offhand 'sparkly' comment, or of her being aloof about Limbaugh was rather pointless.

Actually, Chris is a talented writer. His golf course reviews, for example, are funny and observant. I enjoy reading him when he's on top of his game. The problem is that he suffers from brain cramps when he writes about a) Mademoiselle Wie and b)Rush Limbaugh.

sigh........well, here we go again. Lee makes assertion that his "experience" with Mr Limbaugh tells him he is wrong FAR more often than he's right. So lets name some Lee, i prowl this website in so far vain attempts to get liberals to actually back up some of the statements and charges they make about Mr Limbaugh. So far no takers. As far as your assertion that Mr Limbaugh thinks his opinions should be the last word i ask you to give him a call sometime and identify yourself as a liberal, he will put you at the front of the line sir. Rush talks about sports because he has a passion for sports, especially golf and football, his opinions are as valid as anyone elses, thats why they are called OPINIONS. Another of Mr Limbaughs interests is computers and as any regular listener knows, he is a big fan of Macs. Also, if you listen to Mr Limbaughs show you will begin to notice that his ability to speak on any subject is amazing, speaking 15 hours a week with no script, no prompter, and doing so in a very entertaining way. What upsets liberals so much about Mr Limbaugh is that they know in their hearts his analysis of politics and current events, and the motivations of liberals is absolutely correct. This is why they personally attack him, never attacking the issues he discusses.
