Goode Company isn't bad, but it's far from the best in Houston. It's become a big, corporate spot, and that's not BBQ heaven.

Those in the know go to Thelma's, or Drexler's, or Williams Smokehouse. Not as fancy, but the 'cue is far more flavorful.

Goode Company does have a great seafood spot across Kirby; head there to enjoy the OTHER native Texas cuisine.

Got to love folks like June & Jason...blogs would be SO much poorer without them! ;)

On point - yes Goode Company is good barbecue (and their brisket IS better than the ribs), but in Houston the best barbecue is at Pappas.

Or come on down to central FL and hook up with Sonny's or Fred Fleming's - now THAT is some fine food!

If you're still in Houston on April 20th, Magnolia Creek is running a special of $45 for golf/cart/range and play all day. They are a 27 hole links course and one of the best in the area.
