Ron Mon,
I predicted that Sergio wouldn't win, Stricker wouldn't win and someone starting at -3 would take it.

But did you agree with that?

Adam Scott? What were you on about?
He is one of the biggest chokers around.

And Shanks, the Players is not a major and is not even close.
Majors and majors and the players is not a major.
When they talk about great players, they talk about how many majors that they won, not how many majors and how many players championships.

Scott is a choker but so is Garcia.
Garcia has a lead of 3 over 2nd and a lead of 6 over 3rd place, but don't expect that to matter. He will go backwards fast in round four.

Also, don't expect much from Stricker.
The winner will probably come from a good round from one of the guys at -3. One of them will probably shoot something like 66 or 67 and win it that way.

Well, eight shots separate them after round one. We'll see if SG can hold off AS in the battle of underachievers.

Scott did win the next-best-thing-to-a-major, the Players. But I don't think he'll ever be approaching best in the world because he lacks serious short game. The young man has an awesome swing, hits it a mile and putts well occasionally. He seems to me just a younger version of Davis Love. Very, very good at times, but not quite great. Probably will snag a major somewhere down the road when he's hitting on all 8 cylinders in a given week.
