I read two of your articles. According to you, golf boot camp is harder than marine boot camp and hockey fans have low IQ's.

Answer to what Michael? The poster who seriously compared me to Hitler for noting how lame pro hockey is. The countless imaginative souls who talked about my hair (oh man, that really hurts - got me!) The hockey fans who have tried to outright lie about its TV ratings (VERSUS averaged a 0.3 for its regular season games, among the lowest rated things on all of television.)

Or my personal favorite, the puck losers who give their academic credentials and write things like "I graduated from university", like it's the most amazing accomplishment in the world. Which, come to think of it, it is if you're a hockey nut.

There's been no need to respond. These comments are an endless, entertaining thread proving my point. To love hockey you have to be dumber than a box of rocks.

I probably should apologize to rocks everywhere.

This article loses a lot of credibility right from the first sentence, insulating the intelligence of hockey fans when in reality polls have shown that NHL fans are the most educated and highest income earners of fans of any major sport.

Not a good article, Chris.
Poorly conceived, very amateurish. Looks as though you are attemptng to mimmick the writing style of other much more accomplished writers. You missed the mark on just about every level. In the future you need to understand the underlying importance of a storyline -and get accurate supporting numbers and facts- as opposed to writing to simply get a response. If your article was submitted in journalism or cre-comm class I'm afraid it would rate an F.
Insulting a group of people probably won't get you very far unless of course you have mastered the art see; Don Rickles. Sports writers, especially golf writers are not all that worldly and probably can't carry an audience for any length of time. Only exception is David Feherty, but then again in every sport there are stars; and there are lots of them in hockey. Check it out.

I am a huge hockey fan and Tigers comments and Chris Baldwins blog don't bother me in the slightest, why? Well if the worlds best poker players or bowlers started making disparaging remarks about hockey and the media that followed them concurred with their opinions I wouldn't care, so why should we care what Tiger and Chris think. Its not like Mr. Baldwin is a sports writer or Tiger an athlete, so why should there opinions on a real sport and true athletes matter. Any activity i can drink three beers and not notice a decrease in performance isnt a sport. Anything in which your heart rate doesnt rise above resting isnt a sport. Sure the PGA and Tiger draw more viewers than the NHL but who cares, as far as im concerned the only thing worse than playing 4 hours of Golf is watching it......but who cares what I think about Golf, Im a hockey player
