Greg, how in the world do you make a connection between "driving down the middle of a road with your eyes closed", with a man flying home from an unfinished golf tournament, in his own jet, because he determined he was out of contention? Here's a flash for you...regardless of what you, other Tiger-haters, or Ivory Rubin think Tiger should have done or not have done, it was that 29 year old man's decision to make and he did. So, please dismount that "dead horse" and saddle-up on some other contrived issue that results in your anti-Tiger tirades. Lastly, it must be very confusing to you to have reputable men and professionals like Mr. Palmer and Mr. Nicklaus, the very men you seem to revere, have nothing but praise and support for Tiger...on personal and professional levels. Where is the flaw(s) in their insight?

Sorry Natashe but Rob (the other one ) is dead right . At our Open at St Andrews he ignored a respected radio interviewer point blank and despite the interviewer just asking how his practise went Tiger continued to completeley blank him . He is without doubt the most arrogant man to play the game but when you consider his upbringing by his Vietnam vet for a dad it is hardly surprising .

Hi Natasha...great name!.....I don't object to Tiger's fist pumping or his theatrics...They are no more or less showy than Gary Players or Arnold Palmers. He is the SOLE reason most women and a lot of men bother watching golf on television. He certainly comports himself better than Hal Sutton...but that is a very low standard indeed.
It seems to me we all need to separate Tiger's golf game and showmanship from the decisions he makes that don't involve hitting a golf shot. Some player make a great contribution to the game...Jones, Hogan, Player, Palmer, Nicklaus. I wonder if Tiger will cross that divide some day...or just continue to make money?

Hi Rob,

Don't you think you are being a bit unfair? Tiger is not the first and won't be the last golfer to celebrate after sinking a putt or emote in some way after failing to sink a putt. Tom Kite, Jack, seve and all the greats have used physical gestures to show emotion on the course. What about Garcia's scissor kick down the fairway? What about Hal Sutton who shook his fist in Tiger's face after winning the Players Championship? You obviously have a problem with Tiger but please try to be objective wont you?

Ok Greg Pinelli go ahead and cite the instances that 3 players have all fallen back 1, 2 or 3 strokes in the final few holes. This will be interesting! This whole thing is baloney anyway. These guys aren't professionals because they are OK golfers. The TV commercials say it best.

Skye..."Tiger has always been humble"??? You've got to be kidding! He's the most arrogant golfer I've ever seen. I went to my first Masters 31 years ago, have been to several other tour events, have played college golf, along with many top amateur tournaments, and I can honestly say I have NEVER seen anybody show-boat the way Tiger does. Humble? How is it humble when he "flops to the ground" every time he misses a 40-foot putt? How is he humble when he prances all over the greeen while pumping his fists after a made putt? He is all about Tiger! He only cares about himself, which explains is less-than-average Ryder Cup record. Oh, and leaving Baltusrol early...I would have loved for him to be tied for the lead, only to miss the play-off! That would have topped Roberto Devincenzo's foul-up at the 1968 Masters.

So Ivory...I drive down the middle of the street with my eyes closed...and don't hit anyone! Must be a good decision. Tiger should have stayed...because it showsrespect for the game and for the real possibility of the entire field coming back to him. Are you familiar with golf history. Would you like someone to cite the instances where fields in US Opens and British Opens have come back to players with posted scores??
