Everything you wanted to know about Natalie Gulbis, but were afraid to ask
Wednesday August 9, 2006 | 10:47:36 177 words, 1332 views
The Eye On Golf staff is a big fan of Natalie Gulbis. (No, the staff is not all male.) We were all heartbroken when she lost in a playoff just three weeks ago. And we’re all hoping she doesn’t develop AK Syndrome. We are, however, not groupies. We follow her golf exploits and don’t pry into her private life - unless, of course, it is presented to us on a silver platter, or, in this case, in an electronic article. SI.com the same electronic magazine that brought you compelling blogs and commentary from the British Open, has a marvelous cheesecake piece on Natalie’s personal life in its August 14th issue. Check it out here. I don’t know how they do it. In just nine separate topics we are thrust into Natalie’s exciting world. The article is enthralling to say the least. And it is complemented by a photo gallery so that you can see Natalie baking in the kitchen or holding a cake in the shape of her favorite golf hole while dressed in an evening gown. Comments:

Hi Dave,
Ok, I'd like to ask a question about Natalie......oh, never mind....I've already been divorced TWICE!!

The funny thing is... she's not even that attractive. I think that many are conditioned to think the LPGA is full of Laura Davies or Patty Sheehan-lookalikes, and when we're presented with an OK-looking girl with perky breasts and butt, we go ga-ga. Sorry, but in California, just about every single girl at the beach is more attractive....

Damn, this is getting to be a habit, Todd. Gotta agree with you.
But don't expect it too often.

What's with all those dopey kitchen photos on SI.com? And I'm afraid I have to agree with Todd--she's pretty, and very fit and shapely, but certainly not a knock-out. Her legs are her best feature, aside from her golf swing. I will say though that my few brief exchanges with her while covering LPGA events have been very pleasant; she's personable, approachable, and seems quite well-adjusted. I'll reserve comment on her father...
Yes, and she can knock down the flagstick with a 5-iron from 185.
