With apologies to Sports Illustrated, today’s Sign of the Apocalypse: According to Yahoo and Google, the names dominating the top search terms for 2004 were Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson, and Pamela Anderson. Paris Hilton was second on both lists? Are you kidding me? Am I so old already that I’m totally missing the appeal of Paris Hilton?

Second sign of the Apocalypse: Randy Johnson is going to be playing in the Bronx. Good luck with that, Randy. Be sure to start that subscripton to the Post tomorrow.
