Unlimited seafood, golf a perfect father's day present at Casa Velas in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Tired of buying ties and a dozen golf balls for dad for Father’s Day?
Why not round up all the buying power of your brothers and sisters and get dad what he really wants: A golf getaway.
The Casa Velas Boutique Hotel, a member of the exclusive “The Leading Small Hotels of the World” club and the only adults-only all-inclusive golf resort in Mexico to receive the AAA Four Diamond Award, is offering an Unlimited Golf package that includes unlimited golf rounds every day at the on-site Marina Vallarta course or either layout at Vista Vallarta, plus a $100 spa credit, complimentary suite upgrade and airport/hotel transfers for $260 per person per night.
The resort resides just 15 minutes from the Puerto Vallarta Airport and just 10 minutes from the downtown’s popular “El Malecon,” a boardwalk lined with art galleries and shops along the shores of the Banderas bay. The 80-suite, hacienda-style hotel isn’t located on the beach, but it offers a private beach club just a short five-minute ride away near a sister hotel, Velas Vallarta, which is offering a similar package.
The Casa Velas resort’s theme is a garden oasis. Streams and fauna decorate the lobby with fish ponds just off the outdoor patio. Just be careful where you walk. I couldn’t help but laugh, watching another guest step in the pond in the lobby when she wasn’t paying attention. The 80 suites have all been redone with marble floors, sun-god mirrors and other local art and decor. Many offer a balcony with a private hot tub, a perfect place for dad and mom to relax after a hard day of golf or lounging by the pool.
While the golf at Vista Vallarta is especially good – both the Nicklaus and Weiskopf courses rank among the top 10 resort golf courses in Mexico – the thing I remember most about my visit to Casa Velas was the dynamite food. The all-inclusive menus at Casa Velas allow you to order anything you want, day or night. The seafood tacos and soups were so stocked with fresh fish. The best.
This offer is valid now through December 23. With the year-round temperature hovering around 80 degrees, book it for anytime and share the great news with dad on his big day June 20.
