Gaylord Golf Mecca offers free golf October 10-16
The fall version of the Gaylord Golf Mecca’s Customer Appreciation week, set for October 10-16, is always bittersweet.
The deals are great - free golf with affordable lodging – but unfortunately, it signals the end of the golf season in northern Michigan. Hopefully, the fabulous weather hovering over the state this week holds into next week and beyond.
This unique promotion is a celebration and a thank you to the many golfers from around the Midwest who frequent the destination.
Here’s how it works: The free round of golf with a cart comes with a paid night’s lodging (Lodging rates vary depending on facility, 2 guests per room). Golfers simply call one of the hotels to book a room and mention you would like to participate in the Customer Appreciation Week. The hotel will then make the tee-time and deliver a golf certificate upon check-in.
Some of the best courses of the mecca are available, including The Robert Trent Jones course at Treetops Resort, Black Forest by Tom Doak and Black Lake by Rees Jones in Onaway. The Jones just celebrated its 25th anniversary. The Natural, the Classic at the Otsego Club, The Loon Golf Resort (The Loon is pictured above), Wilderness Valley, Michaywe Pines and Marsh Ridge are also options.
