Strike gold by staying, playing at The Wynn Las Vegas
The tribe has spoken … and once again, Wynn Golf Club comes out golden.
The golf club was one of 25 courses nationwide – and the only Las Vegas golf course – to grab a Golf Magazine Gold Medal Award. Thousands of Golf Magazine readers cast their votes to determine the winners.
“It’s a tremendous honor to be recognized by our guests and Golf Magazine,” said Brian Hawthorne, director of golf at Wynn G.C. “Our dedicated team of golf professionals are committed to providing a world-class golf experience in an unparalleled setting that guests truly value.”
It’s such a luxury to be located right on the Las Vegas Strip. I’m sure most of those who voted for the Wynn did so because of its unique location and its commitment to world-class service. The caddies – all of whom are PGA Professionals – work extra hard to make each round memorable.
The 7,042-yard, par-70 layout is gorgeous and fun to play. Its par 3s are particularly memorable. Tom Fazio brilliantly contoured the fairways of the old Desert Inn Golf Club and used landscaping to give the holes a sense of privacy, despite the lack of land, just 137 acres. The breathtaking 37-foot waterfall on the 18th hole might have swayed a few votes, too.
Guests who decide to play golf on a whim don’t need to worry. Loaner Callaway golf clubs and Foot Joy shoes are also provided at no additional cost.
Green fees ($500 per round) aren’t cheap but neither is the experience.
