Carl's Golfland in Michigan building new club-fitting facility
In 2011, the Bloomfield Township location of Carl’s Golfland – Michigan’s first golf superstore dating to 1958 – was named to the Top 100 section of the first-ever Golf Digest Top Club Fitters in America.
But Carl Rose Jr., the second generation owner of this Michigan golf icon, has never been one to rest of his laurels. Carl’s is in the midst of possibly its most important expansion to date.
A new outdoor custom club-fitting studio will greatly enhance how Carl’s fits its customers. Carl’s hired fitting guru Casey Baker away from Miles of Golf in Ypsilanti Township to help lead the project to fruition. Baker, an accomplished player who spearheaded the excellent fitting studio called the “cluboratory” at Miles of Golf, has been a club tester for Golf Digest’s HotList Panel since its inception.
The expansion – which also includes updating the store front and floor and adding additional warehouse space for its growing internet sales – should be completed later this summer.
If you’re still playing clubs that haven’t been fitted for your game, you’re seriously missing out. We’re all trying to save a few strokes here and there. Carl’s has taken its commitment to your game a step further with this hot new addition.
