Greg Norman sunglasses take cool to a new level
Greg Norman seems to look cool no matter what he’s doing.
Probably even taking out the trash, not that the former world No. 1 would ever do that.
Norman, a savvy businessman who has built successful a clothing line and wine collection in addition to his design firm, is looking good in his latest venture, his own line of performance sunglasses. Greg Norman Eyewear debuted at The President’s Cup last fall and was introduced internationally at the PGA Merchandise Show this January in Orlando.
Although his International team lost at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club last fall, Norman looked as suave as ever, sporting sunglasses from his new Greg Norman Performance Sunwear collection.
The glasses are technologically advanced as well as fashionable.
At the tournament (see photo above), Norman wore a shark-inspired frame design featuring EXtreme Polarized lenses (EXP) powered by NXTÒ lens technology. These NXTÒ lenses are built on TrivexÒ material, which is 10 times stronger and 10 percent lighter than polycarbonate lenses. These NXTÒ lenses process color and contrast faster. That translates to the better reading of greens and other slopes on a golf course.
All styles in the Performance Collection include:
* Optical quality Grilamid memory polymer frame material that feels stronger than most frames I’ve worn while still maintaining a high level of comfort. They feel indestructible, yet hug your face.
* High-contrast and high-color definition lenses, including advanced Polarization processes.
* Oleophobic and Hydrophobic lens coatings that resist water, moisture and oils for increased clarity.
That’s a lot of technical talk, but the bottom line is they look and feel good. The suspended lense style continues to be popular on the golf course.
