Book by Oct. 1 to play 2-for-1 golf in Las Vegas from November through January with Walters Golf

High season can mean expensive golf all around the country.

But great deals can be found during the shoulder seasons - spring and fall. This fall, Walters Golf in Las Vegas is rolling out a 2-for-1 special at its three courses, Desert Pines Golf Club, Bali Hai Golf Club and Royal Links Golf Club. The catch is this: The rounds must be booked by Oct. 1 (next week!) and must be prepaid 45 days in advance. Select tee times are only available from Nov. 20 to Jan. 31, 2013.

The good news is there’s some flexibility in the way you use the 2-for-1s. You can bring two players and pay for one round on the same day. Or you can splurge on yourself, paying for a round one day and then getting a round on a different course the next day for free.

The complimentary round is applicable at the course with a lower green fee. Just FYI, Bali Hai is the most expensive tee time, as a general rule, followed by Royal Links and then Desert Pines. The three offer completely different experiences. Desert Pines feels like the Carolinas, Bali Hai like the tropics and Royal Links like Scotland.
