Stay at the Luxor in Las Vegas to earn discounted golf at Desert Pines, Royal Links

Las Vegas might not be well known as a golf destination in winter, but there are plenty of reasons to tee it up in Sin City during the off-season.

Walters Golf is offering a fine package deal that involves staying at the Luxor during the week for discounted golf at Royal Links Golf Club or Desert Pines Golf Club. Royal Links offers a British Open theme, while Desert Pines feels like a round in the Carolinas.

The package runs from Nov. 15, 2012, until Feb. 28, 2013. Golfers who stay at Luxor Monday through Thursday nights for as little as $45 a night can receive 30 percent off a round of golf. Paying for golf includes a $25 set of Callaway rental clubs, cart fees and practice balls. Single occupancy rates and upgrade options are available.

Those who have been to Las Vegas know the Luxor well. It’s the pyramid hotel home to shows by Chris Angel and Carrot Top; tons of restaurants, like T&T and TENDER, a steakhouse; and the LAX and Cathouse nightclubs.
