The Bellagio teams up with Bali Hai and Royal Links of Walters Golf for the ultimate luxury Las Vegas package deal
Call me crazy, but every time someone mentions the words “luxury” and “Las Vegas” the first image that pops into my mind is Andy Garcia hanging out in the Bellagio Resort & Casino in the movie “Ocean’s Eleven.”
Hollywood has a strong power of suggestion, but there’s also a hint of truth in there. The Bellagio is one of the Strip’s premier playgrounds. Golfers can splurge by purchasing a package that allows for two nights at the Bellagio and two rounds on Walters Golf’s Bali Hai Golf Club and Royal Links Golf Club, for only $649 per player.
On my most recent visit to Las Vegas, I hung out for a night at Hyde, an exotic night club in the Bellagio overlooking the water blasts of the famous outdoor fountain. I dined on incredible appetizers of oysters, Kobe sliders and pork belly sandwiches and sipped on imaginative cocktails, while a one-man band sang. It was the ultimate in Vegas cool. I didn’t stay out too late, though, because an early tee time called the next day. I’m sure it got a little nuts after I left, as things tend to do in Sin City clubs.
I’ve only played nine holes at both Royal Links and Bali Hai within the past year, but I can vouch they’re both great rounds of golf. Bali Hai plays beautifully through a tropical setting with Augusta-like conditioning. The island green on the 16th hole is a great spot. I love the blind shots and hidden pot bunkers of Royal Links, a course that features replica holes taken from British Open venues.
The package is available through April 30, 2013. For more information, click here.
