My daughter has a birthday coming up. It’s a tough one: the big oh-eight. I say it’s tough because try shopping for an 8-year-old girl’s birthday present. They call them “tweeners": not ready for the pre-teen stuff like makeup and the like, but My Little Pony may have reached maximum shelf life. McDonald's LPGA Championship off to a good start

If you follow women’s golf, this is your lucky day. Today begins the McDonald’s LPGA Championship—the year’s second major—where we’ll get to see Michelle Wie battle defending three-peater Annika Sorenstam, Morgan Pressel, Paula Creamer, Lorena Ochoa, and all the other LPGA also-rans. Last year when Michelle Wie teed it up at the LPGA Championship, several LPGA members squawked that she had no business being there. That the LPGA Championship should be reserved for, well, the LPGA.
