Nobody doesn't like Sarah Lee, except maybe her competition this week at the Michelob ULTRA Open
Friday May 11, 2007 | 16:29:48 154 words, 7416 views
Golfweek magazine often tells us who shot the “round of the week"; this week’s issue they credit Rory Sabbatini, with his third-round 64 at the Wachovia Championship.
Impressive, to be sure. But also deserving of a nod right now is the LPGA’s Sarah Lee. She posted a scorching first-round 63 at the Michelob ULTRA Open yesterday.
Sabbatini’s round included six birdies and an eagle. Lee had nine birdies and a bogey, beating even, dare I say it? Birdie Kim. Yeah, Rory, eagles are great and all, but nine birdies gets the job done too.

Top 10 Things to Say to Rattle Your Husband (or Boyfriend) in Match Play
Tuesday May 8, 2007 | 11:43:37 291 words, 8591 views
This month’s Golf Digest offers a clever little feature entitled “Top 10 things to say to rattle your match play opponent.” For example, “Do you always take your club that far back on your backswing?” Or even better, “Does your kid have a tattoo? Well I don’t know about the rest of you ladies, but my usual match play opponent tends to be my husband. ... full post »

I just got some truly exciting news: I’m worth $138,095.
No, I don’t mean that’s how much money I have in the bank. I mean that according to experts, were I to get tragically hit in the head with a stray Titleist tomorrow, it would cost my husband $138,095 to replace me.
This apparently is how much I, as a stay-at-home mom, hypothetically save by performing my various duties as “housekeeper, cook, day care center teacher, van driver, laundry machine operator, facilities manager, janitor, computer operator, chief executive officer and psychologist,” according to the study.
Now I don’t know about your husband, ... full post »
Women (finally) hit the Old Course at St. Andrews
Thursday May 3, 2007 | 17:36:09 209 words, 7729 views
Every August the women’s British Open rolls around, and every August I ask the same question: when are they going to play the Old Course?
I guess all that shouting at the television finally paid off: this August, the women’s British Open will be played, for the first time, at venerable St. Andrews.
The men’s competition has been decided there 27 times; for women, it’s a first. Of course, considering that the women’s British Open has only been a major since 2001, whereas the men’s has been around since 1860, I guess the Old Course isn’t that far behind the curve. But ... full post »
