Multi-functionality takes an unexpected turn in the Club Glove Shwine Bag

We golf writers are always multi-tasking: Hit the ball, take some notes while steering the cart with your knees, hop out, click some photos, hit the ball again, take some more notes, hole out, interview other players on the next tee, etc., etc.

But even hardcore multi-taskers among us might be taken aback by the newest golf-related accessory from Club Glove – the Shwine Bag.

What, pray tell, is a “Shwine?” Archaic third-person feminine possessive pronoun? Pig with a stiffy?

Well, it turns out the Shwine a combination shoe-bag and wine-tote. (MSRP is $69.) How does one come up with an idea like this?

“I had a request from a very good customer of mine to come up with a wine tote,” said Jeff Herold, President, West Coast Trends, Inc. “I had always known that our Shoe Bag held two bottles of wine perfectly. The question was how to make it work as a wine tote and still be used as a shoe bag. With this design, you can use it as either a wine tote or a shoe bag depending on your preference. Once again, function and versatility are high on the list of priorities in the design of this Club Glove product.”

The Shwine comes complete with bottle holders, shoehorn, and a curious bottle-opener, rather than a corkscrew.

Apparently when you pack your shoes with your booze, you aren’t so picky about your vintages.

I think this gives a whole new definition to the term “happy feet.”

The Shwine Bag by Club Glove takes multi-functionality to whole new level.

Don't they call a bottle of booze a "boot" in some cultures? If so, we have our connection. Who, indeed, does come up with these ideas?
