Michigan high school athletic director goes "Southwest Airlines" on school's Girls' Golf Team

First, it was the fashion police at Southwest Airlines threatening to kick passengers off flights because a flight attendant didn’t like their skirts or shirts.
Now it’s Jamie Gent, athletic director at Haslett High School in Michigan. According to the Lansing State Journal, Gent confiscated the new Girls’ Golf Team’s matching spirit shirts printed with the slogan “Grip It and Rip It.”
Is Gent opposed to John Daly-related gear? (That slogan is his motto, after all.)
No. According to Gent, the phrase could be “taken two ways.” One way, apparently, carries a “sexual connotation.”
Oh fer cripes sake.

I have to admit that I’m not, nor have I ever been, a Woody Austin fan. When pressed for the reason, I also have to admit rather shallow grounds:
He resembles a lunch lady who bedeviled me throughout elementary school.
And he wears such God-awful shirts when he plays. Even worse, it’s like he purposely chooses hats that don’t match his horrifically ugly shirts.
Maybe he dresses in the dark. Maybe he’s colorblind and he has asked someone to dress him who really, really hates him.
