After coming close to pulling off a great veteran win, Julie Inkster found herself in a whole heap of trouble on 18. As her par pitch from the front of the green came up two feet short, she tumbled to the ground in some good-natured theater. When she picked herself up, she conceded the hole and halved the match with Gwladys Nocera.
Class, from beginning to end.
And, according to Inkster herself, this is her last Solheim Cup. “I’m not pulling a Brett Favre,” she quipped.
Well…her last Solheim Cup as a player, that is. Inkster will be a great Captain someday.

And you are right. She is and always has been a class act.
Going to be hard to find anyone who can follow her.
Oh, and for all those whimpering dimwits who are whining about Christina?
Get over it and get a life. She has not hurt the Solheim Cup one bit with her fun and has managed to inject a little fun into the world of Golf.
Go Christina !!!
They are conceded and obnoxious.
