Ryder Cup libations, courtesy of Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel
My favorite hole on any course is usually the 19th Hole. This even goes for Ryder Cup weekend.
This Saturday, I head to Medinah to cover the action, and let me tell you, all the back-breaking hard work will be well rewarded with a cocktail or two at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel.
Gather, the hotel bar has a new hand-crafted cocktail menu, and at the end of the day, I plan to wrap my ink-stained, sweat-streaked fingers around one or more of the following offerings.
Ketel One Tee Time: Ketel One Citron Flavored Vodka, Iced Tea, Fresh Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup, Elderflower Liqueur, Lemon Wedge
Bulleit Bunker Manhattan: Bulleit Bourbon, Stirrings Blood Orange Mixer, Stirrings Blood Orange Bitters, Sweet Vermouth, Wild Hibiscus Syrup, Cherry
Johnnie Walker Fairway Collins: Johnnie Walker Black Label Blended Scotch Whisky, Lemon Juice, Club Soda
Ancient Beauty: Ketel One Orange Vodka, Stirrings Pomegranate Liqueur, Lemon, Angostura Bitters
Orange “Peach” Blossom: Ketel One Orange Vodka, Stirrings Pomegranate Liqueur, Fresh Lemon
Great golf, great event, great drinks. Anyone who says golf isn’t the greatest sport in the world is clearly not paying attention.
