Fila's Auckland Jacket, because I told you the weather would turn again
Just a few days ago, the sun was shining, and I broke a serious sweat walking 18 holes at my home course.
But I knew the weather, like John Daly in rehab, would backslide sooner or later. In fact, I warned of this very eventuality in my recent 2014 Spring fashion guide.
What I didn’t include in that guide was the Auckland Lightweight Jacket by Fila ($110) because it hadn’t arrived on my desk yet.
But arrive it did, along with torrential downpours and gale-force winds.
The Auckland is constructed from waterproof yet breathable fabric, and has a detachable hood – but I’ll be keeping the hood attached until about mid-June by the looks of the black clouds whirling overhead.
Now to find a waterproof stocking cap….
