I have recently begun a blog called A GOLF COURSE OF RHYMES that in specifically intended to explore the links between golf and poetry. Check it out. Billy Collins might be surprised to learn that the first book entirely devoted to golf published in 1743 was a long mock heroic poem! Lots of golf poetry has been written and published in books and magazines, but is unknown to today's golf enthusiasts. I started my blog to bring this golf history to light again.

I too have observed there is very little golf poetry. As a result I have written several poems about the game with an emphasis on the greatest players. My web site www.golfpoetry.com is intended to be a central location for golf poetry. Anyone who has written a golf poem is welcome to submit their work for consideration.
