John McG-- Excellent! You might well be correct on the genetics, although I am not sure that Singh is pure-blooded Indian. He may be though.

There is not "no" connection, however, as Maori and Fijian are linguistically related.

While Campbell is of Polynesian ancestry, Singh is certainly of Indian ancestry (there's been a lot of migration from the sub-continent to Polynesia), so there is no connection, either genetically or world ranking-wise.
