Get the feeling Tim you see the world in a similiar light . When i think of how Nick Price conducts himself and then i think of a certain Woods the word "phoney" comes into my head . Woods could learn an awful lot from Nick eg. how to be gracious away from the t.v cameras , how to be less arrogant away from the t.v cameras and how to be humble and less contrived away from the t.v cameras !

Nick Price is my all-time favorite. I'll never forget the time he bought champagne for all the writers at the Players Championship.
A player that everyone likes or should like is Nick Price . An absolute gentleman who has things in perceptive and does not take himself too seriously . Being involved in a war in the now defunct Rhodesia may have something to do with that !
As for Faldo he turned up late once to a company day at Chart Hills in kent (U.K) . There was about 20 waiting to get a chance to play a few holes with him who had paid a lot of money for 36 holes . On looking at the rain outside Nick promptly said well weather not looking too great we will make it 18 . One man took great exception and just said NICK YOU WILL PLAY 36 ! Needless to say he got the message and everyone got what they paid for . After that he was fine .

I think Davis is allot like the old Nick Faldo. Not many know that he actually has a sense of humour. If you hang out with him he can be light hearted and goofy. On the course both Faldo and Love take things way to seriously.

Maybe he didn't see you. Maybe he was in a hurry and misjudged. Maybe he didn't care.

Maybe you were projecting?

It is their careers, sometimes they are very nice, sometimes not.

Write something interesting please.

Another one for the Floyd files. In 1981, back when it still held some importance for the top players, the Canadian PGA was held at Cherry Hill Club, a stone's throw away from Buffalo. The Walter Travis gem has an 18th green that may be the most difficult to putt in the world. Floyd either four or five-whacked the thing, and whined to anyone who would listen. Jim Thorpe, at the time a great local favorite, won the event. I think part of the whininess may come from his spouse, who is a bit on the demanding side. True she pushed him to great heights, but at what price?

Right on. I've been aware way too long that the world is full of good people but there's plenty of the others that only keep their legacy alive by nasty acts. Case in point. I worked the 1975 US Open at Medinah. I invited friends from Wisconsin to visit. Their nine year old daughter tried to get an autograph from Sam Snead and was pushed to the ground. Even the great are not exempt from having dark sides.
I've heard nothing but negatives about Floyd and his relationship with the fans. He got a pass for a few years because he successfully partnered/mentored Fred Couples in the Ryder Cup. But he's less than charming.
