Caribbean crime: Here's another nod to the good folks down there

Reading the blogs by Brandon and Tim, I remembered a long-ago trip down island. My dad and I did the hop from Florida through the Bahamas on our way to Cub…….. err, uhh, to some other island down there, one where you can see a lot of cars from the ’50s.

At any rate, my pop left his camera in the backseat of a Bahamian cab. Bummed, we backtracked to the airport in what I reckoned was a ridiculously futile mission. Lo and behold, we asked the guy at the taxi stand. He lit up, smiled, said, “Wait right here, mon!” and ran off. A couple minutes later, he came back with a cabbie who was smiling and holding my dad’s camera. We were VERY happy to get back our pics of …. ummm ……. that OTHER nearby island we’d visited.

There are good (and bad) folks everywhere, right?

Ok, ok. . .now that we're all off the caribbean-bashing bandwagon. . .if it's any consolation, the pot I was offered was at a really good price.
