My guy over at HookedOnGolf just reminded me about Monty. Now that Mrs. Doubtfire has qualified for the U.S. Open at Pinehurst, you have to start wondering if the Nucklehead Squad will be gearing up to heckle him. Given that he’ll be coming into the Open dragging with him the Indonesian Open controversy, I gotta think most sane golf fans are thanking their lucky stars the tourney’s in Pinehurst this year, rather than up north at Shinnecock Hills, Bethpage or Baltusrol, where it would’ve gotten ugly in no time. Here’s hoping the fans down in North Carolina show some class and leave the hootin’ and hollerin’ to the NASCAR track and wrasslin’ night down at the local National Guard armory.
