Playoff plan could be good news (at last) for LPGA Tour

You might have read Chris Baldwin’s dire take on the current state of the LPGA.

One of my golf blog favs, Bogey Lounge, is writing about some good LPGA news. He writes about the LPGA’s plan for a $1,000,000 playoff beginning next season. It’ll be the first time a golf tour has had a year-end playoff system comparable to other sports. “Things are looking up for the LPGA as they trump the PGA in making a progressive decision, while the men’s side continues to contemplate schedule changes (and less events),” Bogey Lounge writes.

Here’s my two cents: Give Sophie Sandolo an automatic playoff berth and TV ratings will soar, so will lucrative ad sales for ED meds.
