As a favor to all of you Chris Baldwin fans, I’m not about to let this one slip under the radar! Over at Chris’ blog on Michelle Wie turning pro, reader Jim Nugent has taken off the gloves. “Chris, here’s a wager. I bet you $1000 Michelle Wie wins on the LPGA tour at an earlier age than Paula Creamer did,” Mr. Nugent writes. “If you take me up, then at least you put your money where your mouth is. You might have read Bill Wolfrum’s blog entry about Iowa and hunting. Well, predictably, the angry responses are starting to pour in. I’ve never hunted but I have long supported hunters’ rights (I love Field & Stream) and would have no qualms about offing a nice tasty buck, hog or pheasant. But guys, you’re starting to get on my nerves! Talking about having to play two rounds in one day - as he had to do at the Deutsche Bank Championship because of rain delays - John Daly told BBC Sport, “I will just put four or five extra packs of cigarettes in my bag, and I will be fine.” You gotta love him. Well, I guess. But that doesn’t change the fact that he’s something of a moron and a chronic underacheiver. How this guy got in the multi-majors-win club is beyond me.
