A couple weeks ago, in a column for the weekly WorldGolf.com newsletter, I (with tongue somewhat in cheek) chided golf bloggers for how they covered the Golf Digest/PGA Tour partnership deal. Back in June, I wrote a column about senior pro golf for the WorldGolf.com newsletter that made an off-the-cuff reference wondering if there’s such a thing as an Asian senior circuit. Now, out of the blue and nearly half a year later, I just got an e-mail solving that mystery. Tiger Woods says he wouldn’t be surprised to see Michelle Wie make the cut this week in the Casio World Open, an event on the Japanese men’s tour. Playing - of course - on a sponsor’s exemption, Wie arrived in Japan nearly a week early to prepare for the event (and, one has to assume, hawk a few shoes). No word on whether Tiger and Michelle have discussed his passing on the burden of being the One Who Will Save The Golf Industry. full post »

This from an AP story about the heated spat between Paula Creamer and Annika Sorenstam at the ADT Championship at Trump International in my old stomping ground of West Palm Beach, Fla.: After a debate that lasted so long it was almost too dark to finish at Trump International, the ruling ultimately went Sorenstam’s way. Now, watching all the comments to all TG blogs roll in, I know we have some golf gurus out there. Can one of you please let me know how long a dispute like this should really take to resolve?
