Stop ignoring Bob! So who's played Reunion Resort in Orlando?

After reading Tim McDonald’s 2004 review of Reunion Resort down in Orlando, reader Bob Lynch posted a message looking for some more recent feedback from other readers.

“Anyone have a recent review of the courses at Reunion Resort Orlando?” he wrote. “We’re planning to go down in February 2006 with a group of 16.”

Seemingly bummed that his only response has been the chirp of crickets, he just posted this plea:

by Bob Lynch

Bob, just want to point out that the entire internet is ignoring you here … rightfully so. If you want to rate the place, pony up and fly down to check it out. How about this for some advice; the place is great, you can’t afford to live here, and you stink at golf.

Signed,
Yourself

You have to give the guy bonus points for a sense of humor. But come on, guys, someone must have played Reunion Resort recently. How was it? We can’t let the entire internet ignore Bob Lynch!

Excellent presentation by Mark Nessmith on the "Tiger effect." The piece was factual and articulate without being cynical or misrepresenting the case. Good reporting. Gary Wiren

Jeez, Gary. Now even in a blog exclusively about Bob, Bob gets ignored. This may force us to rethink our plans of making this entire site more "Bob-Centric"

And sorry, Bob. I haven't played Reunion Resort, either. Someone will emerge.

For those who have been following the Bob saga, I see a kind reader named Frank has helped him out in his quest to find Reunion Resort info:

" Hi Bob,
I just played Reunion a month ago and it was GREAT !! The 2 courses that are currently open are exceptional and unusual for Florida in their rolling terrain. It was a pleasure to play such a beautiful and challenging course. In addition the staff is wonderful and very helpful and the golf carts with their GPS systems really help.
The Resort itself is in the building stages but it is a beautiful piece of property in a great location.
I highly recommend it you will have a great time !

Frank"

Frank, apart from the information on Reunion, thank you for sharing your Thanksgiving Holiday with me. And Mark, I will be your blogfriend from now on. I have sent this on to the other guys going on the trip; the 'talking to myself on the internet' will not surprise anyone as I am known to discuss my poorer golf shots with myself, at length.

We arrive on January 31 ...

So, Bob, you going to be in town for the PGA Merchandise Show? If so, have fun!

BTW, my favorite Orlando course is Shingle Creek Golf Club. I played this course in October with Tim McDonald and some other hacks ..... we had a ball. And it's very near the convention center.
