Yes, Viginia, there is an Asian Seniors Tour in golf
Back in June, I wrote a column about senior pro golf for the WorldGolf.com newsletter that made an off-the-cuff reference wondering if there’s such a thing as an Asian senior circuit.
Now, out of the blue and nearly half a year later, I just got an e-mail solving that mystery. Yes, Virginia, there is an Asian Senior Tour!
“I just wish to let you know that Chuan Campbell and myself created the Asian Seniors Tour 3 years ago and have since held 2 senior professional golf tournaments with the most recent having been won by Champions Tour Player, Stewart Ginn,” Tournament Director Matthew A. Murray wrote to me. “We have many more tournaments planned in the future and we look forward to catering to American Senior professionals and inbound amateurs that can partake in our 6 pro ams at each event.”
Thanks for the note, Matthew. Best of luck to you and Chuan.
