ABC Sports drops out of PGA Tour's next TV deal
I wrote here about the need for PGA Tour top dog Tim Finchem to listen to Tiger and Co. and get serious about shortening the PGA Tour season:
… we all know what happens to attendance and viewership when Tiger doesn’t play. The same goes for any of the top guys, though certainly to a lesser degree. Yet Finchem skips along merrily, trotting out gimmicky playoffs, made-up majors, and imitation Ryder Cup Matches. Sure his intentions are good - to increase interest in pro golf. But he’s got to remember two things. First, there is a saturation point. Hey, if X number of tour stops is good, twice that’s got to be better, right!? Wrong! Secondly, Tiger and co. are your product; listen to them! Without them in the field, you’re left trying to sell guys like Ted Purdy, Jason Bohn and Tim Petrovic.
As if getting the advice from me weren’t enough for Boss Finchem, here’s another argument, courtesy of ABC Sports, for shortening the season to ensure a sexier field for each tour stop.

I am especially concerned when I discovered that the third person in Phil Mikleson's group was Juston Rose. This was made known on the 18th green on the final day- the other person in his group was our lone Canadian still in the top 10. You showed Phil many times and Mike maybe a half dozen times in two days of coverage. How are relations between our Countries enhanced by this bias?
By the way, Mike finished with the same score as Phil, so I guess he played pretty well
