I’m not as in the know about the latest golf equipment as gear guru Kiel Christianson. But I CAN tell you that this is no way to test a golf ball. Dude, that’s crazy!

John Daly can take hope from this, however. If his gaming jones cleans him out and his playing career hits the skids, perhaps Long John can find work testing golf balls like these guys.

Good thing the kid hits a high fade .... lower ball flight would have a disastrous effect on target-boy's singing voice.

John Daly once told a story about being blitzed at a public event in a ssmall stadium. Some guy way up high in the back row stood up and raised his arms above his head like mini-goal posts and yelled for Daly to hit a ball through them. Daly teed up a ball on stage and let rip with his driver. The ball sailed right between the guy's arms and out of the stadium. Of course, in his drunken stupor, he didn't consider that if he had mis-hit the ball--maybe a little thin--it could have killed someone in a lower row. I believe that this was one of the events that made him realize he needed to stop drinking (so much).
